The reports were prepared by a committee that was established by the Minister of Health to assess the quality and practice of perinatal care and monitor outcomes in saving mothers and babies for the entire country. Community health workers (CHWs) are frontline health workers who are trusted members of the community and have a particularly good understanding of the communities they serve. CHWs serve as a liaison between health services and the community. Therefore, CHWs require knowledge of the services provided by the different tiers of the health system
