Differentiated Models of Care (DMoC) capturing on Tier.Net & National Indicator Data Set (NIDS) reporting

Objectives: 

South Africa is committed to attaining the UNAIDS 95-95-95 targets to control the HIV epidemic by providing quality healthcare services using highly effective antiretroviral treatment (ART).
To support the achievement of this goal, the ART clinical guidelines have been updated to include Differentiated Models of Care (DMoC) .
Aim: The goal of this webinar series is to increase awareness regarding capturing of DMoC in Tier.NET and reporting DMOC in NIDS 2023.

Introduction of BPaL-L, a 6-month RR-TB regimen.

Objectives: 

South Africa has been a global leader in introducing innovation to the field of Rifampicin-resistant tuberculosis (RR-TB) and the work done in the country has had a significant impact on global policy. One of these innovations are the implementation of clinical access programmes for Bedaquiline, followed by Delamanid and BPaL.

This webinar will discuss the implementation and roll-out of this new six-month BPaL-L RR-TB regimen.

Discuss NDOH plan for introduction of BPaL-L.


Discuss major changes to RR-TB guidelines regarding: diagnosis, eligibility criteria for treatment, treatment regimen, patients’ follow-up.
